Follow the links below for samples of poetry by me. More is to follow in the future, as I record and upload it. I am also hoping to make some film-poems in 2009, all being well. (If you are a film maker, and think that you might be able to help me with this project, then please get in touch.)
2008 was an interesting year for me, having performed at some memorable locations, including:
A poem about the history and regenerations of Hulme, and the Birley Tree campaign ..
"the battle may be over but the war is not won .. the Birley Tree legacy ives on in the Hulman nation .. "
A poem about misery and love gone wrong. Luckily it is not very long .. which is a good thing, because the words are powerful and damning ..
"I would rather die on my own, so my spirit in the sky could roam, like a straw on the wind blown .."
A poem about an androgenous half human - half honey bee super hero who gets up to all kinds of antics. Written in the run up to the 2007 Climate Camp at Heathrow ..
" Heathrow .. deathrow .. how does your garden grow? With cockle shells and GMOs from 'good old' Monsanto .. "
A poem about the Climate Camp at Heathrow in 2007, and a mysterious Catalan lady that made it to the front cover of the Financial Times, during the event ..
"Did you know that Darth Vader got the highest score, on the space invader, in the arcade this decade?.. "
