This is great stuff Rob and feeds straight into our work with the Making Local Food Work programme (www.makinglocalfoodwork.co.uk).
The programme is developing and promoting sustainable ways to reconnect land and people through food. The sutsainable models the programme is supporting are: Community Supported Agriculture; Food Co-ops and Buying Groups; Food Distribution and Supply; Co-operative Farmers Markets; Sustainable Home Produced Food (Country Markets); Community Shops and Local Food.
As I work for Co-operatives UK we were involved in organising the Ethical Food Conference last November which had a woman called Carolyn Steele speaking about her book Hungry Cities, it is excellent. Here's a review:
